Objectives of the computing project

Estimating the Statistical power and required sample size analysis for RNA and DNA sequencing experiments, including differential expression and structural variants.

Application's description

The application estimates, using MPI, the statistical power and required sample size analysis for RNA and DNA sequencing experiments, including differential expression and structural variants. Finding the required sample size is required for determining the optimal sample size when designing sequencing studies and for grant budgeting.

Results expected in the allocation period

Designing a base framework for finding the required sample size of RNA-seq experiments that use negative binomial models (e.g. DESeq, edgeR and Cuffdiff 2).
